NBA Wagering: Seattle Supersonics (+1) vs. Sacramento Kings (-1)
By D.S. Williamson
Two terrible teams facing each other on a Tuesday night. So, why am I looking hard at this game? Because I see how good the Sonics could become and how bad the Kings are.
Also, the BetUS +1 against the spread for the Sonics makes them a terrific play in this one.
The Kings are a mess. Mike Bibby isn’t healthy, and they haven’t found a player to run the point. That’s not good because the Sonics have two decent guards in Earl Watson and Kevin Durant. The Sonics also have Jeff Green and Luke Ridnour coming off the bench. That makes the Sonics a much deeper team than the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings are 0 and 3 and the Sonics are 0 and 3. But, if you take a closer look at things, you might notice that the Sonics have scored 303 points in those three games.
The Kings? They scored a measly 270 points in three games. Are you kidding me? 270 points? Yep, while giving up 323 points.
That’s a 90 point swing in three games. What does that equate to? It equates to losing all three games by an average margin of about 30 points. Wow. That means not only do the Kings not play defense, they don’t play offense either.
Seattle’s numbers are much better. Even though they’ve given up about 20 more points in their last three games than the Kings, they’ve also scored over 33 points in all three games overall.
Expect the Sonics to come out with some fire in their bellies while the Kings will come out lackluster and just plain annoyed with having to walk onto the court.
The Sonics are close to securing their first win of the season. The Kings have to lost at least another three before getting lucky enough to secure their first win of the season.
The BetUS NBA betting line is Seattle SuperSonics + 1 against the spread on the road versus the Sacramento Kings.
Take the Sonics, but definitely watch the game even though it will probably be a blow-out. You just never know when Artest is going to get crazy and that’s worth something, right?
