NBA Wagering – Heat On Road To Face Red-Hot Hornets

The Jazz smacked the Phoenix Suns around on Thursday night. I got “smart” and too the Suns money-line because I thought that Phoenix had a shot without Steve Nash and Grant Hill. It was probably one of the dumbest wagers I’ve made all year.
Anyhow, a good, or okay shooter keeps shooting, right? So, here some of the most significant trends regarding this Saturday game:
The Orlando Magic are 6 and 1 against the spread in their last 7 games playing on 0 days of rest.
The Orlando Magic are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games versus a team from the NBA Northwest Division.
The Orlando Magic are 4-0-1 against the spread in their last 5 meetings in Utah.
All three trends above point to the Orlando Magic beating the spread in this game. Because of Utah’s absolute domination versus the Suns, and the day of rest that they are going to receive on Friday, I suspect that they won’t be less than a 3 or 4 point favorite over the Magic.
That’s good news because even though the Magic were on that three game losing streak they didn’t hurt their against the spread record, on the road, all that much. Only one of those three losses was on the road. Only one of the those three losses was an against the spread on the road loss.
The Magic remain one of the better teams to wager on in the NBA. As I highlighted in last week’s End-Zone article, the Magic are the best against the spread road team in the NBA right now. I don’t expect things to change in their game versus the Jazz on Saturday.
The Magic have a great shot of winning this game outright. So, take a hard look at that BetUS money-line and decide if it’s worth it or not.
