NBA Basketball Betting Free Picks Thursday March 6
By Dave Golokhov
Cleveland Cavaliers (35-26) @ Chicago Bulls (24-36)
If LeBron James was losing ground to Kobe Bryant in the race for the MVP award this season, he’s back in the forefront now.
James dropped 50 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists on the New York Knicks on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. Even the Knicks fan, who stopped cheering for their home team this season, gave James a standing ovation.
After laboring through February, the Cavs are 2-0 in March, one of their favorite months to play in. Over the last three years, the Cavs are 22-9 ATS in the month of March.
The Bulls have been one of the league’s biggest disappointments this season and continue to struggle to find an identity.
They are fresh off a 15-point blowout win over the Memphis Grizzlies but the Bulls are just 3-10 ATS after a win by 10 points or more.
Furthermore, the Bulls are just 1-6 ATS in games where the total is between 190 and 194.5.
NBA Free Picks: Chicago
Indiana Pacers (24-37) @ San Antonio Spurs (42-17)
Like clockwork, the San Antonio Spurs are back in cruise control after the All-Star break and are once again dominating the NBA.
While many of their Western Conference counterparts made major acquisitions at the trade deadline, the Spurs made minor adjustments by acquiring Kurt Thomas and Damon Stoudamire.
The Spurs have won 10 straight and 14 of their last 15 games. As a home favorite of 12.5 points or more, the Spurs have won 88 of their last 91 games.
The Spurs are 3-0 this season in home games where the total is between 190 to 194.5 and are 8-2 ATS against Indiana at home since 1996.
Indiana lost on Wednesday night in Houston but is 9-7 ATS when playing back-to-back days.
NBA Free Picks: San Antonio
Houston Rockets (40-20) @ Dallas Mavericks (39-22)
The Houston Rockets have won 16 straight games but their streak will be in jeopardy tonight as they head to Dallas.
The Mavericks have only lost three home games this season and are 39-17 ATS against division opponents over the last three years.
But the Rockets will get a break as Dirk Nowitzki is out for the Mavericks while serving a one-game suspension for a flagrant foul on Andrei Kirilenko.
The Mavericks will be hard-pressed to replace the 30.4 points per game the 2007 league MVP has averaged over the last 10 games.
The Rockets have covered the spread in 12 of their last 14 games but Dallas dominates this series.
The Mavericks have covered nine of the last 11 meetings and four of the last five in Dallas.
NBA Free Picks: Dallas
