NBA Wagering - Detroit Pistons (- 2.5) vs. Orlando Magic (+ 2.5)

The Pistons travel to Orlando to take on the Magic. Things will be different when Detroit hosts Orlando this Friday, but for today, MLK day in the states, the Magic get the pleasure of getting waxed by the Pistons.
Here are some trends that enforce that belief:
The Detroit Pistons are 6-0-1 against the spread in their last 7 games versus a team with a straight-up winning record.
The Detroit Pistons are 11 and 1 against the spread in their last 12 games playing on 1 day of rest.
The Orlando Magic are 1 and 4 against the spread in their last 5 home games versus a team with a winning road record.
The Orlando Magic are 0 and 4 against the spread in their last 4 games after playing on only 1 day of rest.
Unless your called the Chicago Bulls or New York Knicks you really have little chance of beating the Detroit Pistons on the road. NBA bettors should jump on the chance of actually giving up less than 3 points to a team that has come back to earth some after looking like the team to beat in the Eastern Conference.
This is the part of the NBA season when things begin to shake themselves out. Orlando needs to find more on the offensive side besides Dwight Howard. He’s a player, but they are starting to rely too much on him. They’re going to burn Dwight out before the playoffs and that would be a disaster for the Magic.
Detroit on the other hand has a tendency to play down to their competition. The Magic are sitting at 25 – 17 straight-up. That makes this one of those step-up and play games for Detroit.
Detroit should come out firing in this one. They usually don’t waste precious emotional energy in games, but today is MLK day and this is the biggest game of the day in the Eastern Conference.
I like Detroit tonight.
