Bet on NBA - Denver Nuggets (- 7) vs. Miami Heat (+ 7)

The Denver Nuggets throttled the Cleveland Cavaliers this past weekend. Now, they get to play the worst team in the NBA in the Miami Heat. Will Denver continue their assault on the Eastern Conference? The Nuggets have been awesome against the BetUS spread going 8 and 2 in their last 10 games. The Heat have gone 3-6-1 against the BetUS NBA betting spread in their last 10 games.

The Denver Nuggets are 6 and 1 against the spread in their last 7 games as a favorite.

The Denver Nuggets are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games on the road.

The Miami Heat are 7-20-1 against the spread in their last 28 games following a straight-up loss.

The Denver Nuggets are 4 and 0 against the spread in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.

The Nuggets are on a roll. But will that roll last? There was a moment in the Heat’s game versus the Lakers over the weekend where I actually thought that the combination of Shawn Marion and Dwayne Wade could help the Heat be more competitive in the league.

Now, don’t get me wrong, this team needs way more then Shawn Marion to make it to the playoffs, but they can start upsetting some of the more overrated teams in the NBA with the combination of Marion and Wade. Marion and Wade pretty much play the same sort of game. Throw-in a point-guard like Jason Williams and all of a sudden you’ve got the makings of a decent team. Not great - - just decent.

I actually like the Heat tonight. I think there’s a chance of a straight-up upset not just a win against the BetUS spread.

Eventually, Marion is going to do something special for his new team. I suspect that could happen tonight as the Nuggets, as good as they’ve been playing, got a free pass versus a lackluster and injury-riddled squad in the Cleveland Cavaliers over the weekend.

No such issues with the Heat. The Heat will run with them in this game, Marion should have his best game in a Miami uniform, and Dwayne Wade can take over at times.
