NBA Wagering – Scorching Blazers Looking to Cool Off Warriors - Again
By Eric Williams
The red-hot Portland Trail Blazers, (21-13 SU, 22-12 ATS, 14-20 O/U) are absolutely on fire, having won three straight games and 16 of their last 17 coming into this contest.
The Golden State Warriors, (20-15 SU, 17-18 ATS, 18-16-1 O/U) aren’t far behind, having won six of their last 10 games, including a 130-121 win over the San Antonio Spurs Monday night.
The Blazers are also in the midst of their longest winning streak in almost eight years, having won 11 straight at home.
At 16-3, the Blazers are tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the second-best home record in the western conference.
Led by blossoming second-year players, Brandon Roy, (19.0 ppg, 5.6 apg) and LaMarcus Aldridge, (18.1 ppg, 7.6 rpg), the Blazers have been the biggest surprise in the league this season.
The Warriors are looking for consecutive wins after beating the Spurs in overtime behind point guard Baron Davis’ 34 points and 14 assists. The Warriors have won five of their last seven road games to improve to 11-8 on the road this season.
The Blazers are ranked ninth in defense, limiting their opponents to 95.7 points per game while Golden State is ranked second in overall offense, allowing 108.7 point per game.
