Beginning its legacy in 1935, the Sugar Bowl is one of college football’s classic games and until 1974 was played at Tulane Stadium. The game was originally hosted on the former Etienne de Bore sugar plantation hence the celebrated name "Sugar" Bowl. The Bowl is the home of the SEC champion who plays a top-echelon at-large opponent, unless they go to the BCS National Championship Game. This year either Arkansas or Florida will meet the winner of the at-large bid. Former Sugar Bowl MVPs include Herschel Walker, Dan Marino and Warrick Dunn.
