Like the New Orleans Saints returning to the Superdome, college football’s New Orleans Bowl also returns triumphantly home. Last year the game dubbed the “New Orleans Bowl in Lafayette” had to be played at the University’s Cajun Field in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The game features the champion from the Sun Belt against a team from Conference USA. Southern Mississippi has won the last two New Orleans Bowl games.
