Debuting in 1968 as the Peach Bowl, this year ends almost 40 years of the Peach Bowl moniker in favor of the South’s favorite chicken haunt. The game has been played at Atlanta’s Georgia Dome since 1992 and features the # 5 selection from the SEC versus the # 2 from the ACC. In 2005, the Bowl reached a new level of prestige with it’s first-ever match-up of Top 10-rated teams, however the 40-3 LSU blowout against Miami did not live up to the hype. Former Bowl MVPs include Jim Kelly, Tiki Barber and Champ Bailey.
