College Basketball Betting- Central Florida Golden Knights
Central Florida Golden Knights - NCAA Basketball Betting
Now in his 15th season, head coach Kirk Speraw has built the Central Florida program into one of the best in Conference USA. After a solid 22-9 record in 2006-07 that included an excellent 11-5 mark in Conference USA play, the Knights are currently 16-14 overall and 9-7 in Conference USA games.
The Knights have put a high-scoring offense on the court this season, averaging 74.5 points per game, ranking them 78th in the nation while shooting a solid 45.9 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three-point land, (87th).
Central Florida has been average at best defensively, allowing 68.8 points per game, (174th), though they have held opponents to just 41.2 percent shooting from the field, (59th).
Central Florida is also weak on the boards, recording just 9.5 offensive rebounds per games (212th) and 21.8 defensive rebounds per game, (158th).
The young Knights have struggled to replace the leadership that Josh Peppers and Lavell Payne provided in 2006-07 but have been led this season by their trio of junior guards, Jermaine Taylor, (21.2 ppg), Dave Noel, 13.0 ppg), and Mike O’Donnell, (11.6 ppg).
UCF should be in excellent shape next season with their trio of guards, that has accounted for over 60percent of the Knights’ offense, coming back for the 2008-09 campaign.
