However, after a good showing in his first four tournaments, Moya went on to post mixed results and arrived in Hamburg on a three-match losing streak. Moya is a clay court specialist and it is time the spring season saw him post a decent run.
Lifetime they are tied at 3-3, but this is the first time they meet in over two years. As both arrive in Hamburg with shaky performances and low confidence, anything can happen. But the balance tips in favour of Moya, based on his overall season and his edge on the surface.

Tennis Prediction: Last year Nadal and Murray met twice on hard courts – a surface Murray lists as his best; Nadal beat him twice at the Australian Open and the Madrid Masters. On Nadal’s favourite surface clay, Murray is a long shot bet. Murray does not play his best tennis on clay; and before Hamburg, Murray’s clay court season has been something of a disappointment. Not particular high in confidence, I do not expect Murray is capable of the upset here. Furthermore, the clay court season holds a lot of importance for Nadal – in defending ranking points. With Djokovic winning Rome last week and closing the gap on the No.2 ranking Nadal hijacked since July 25, 2005, Nadal cannot afford to lose this match and keep his ranking. It is a must win for the Spaniard and I expect him to come through for the betting faithful.
