Montreal hacked in 34 shots and Martin Biron stood on his head to bully the Flyers to a 4-2 online hockey betting victory on Saturday. But the truth is that Montreal vastly outplayed Philadelphia throughout the entire game. And when Biron “stood on his head” I am blatantly saying he was “extremely lucky”.
Biron is coughing up rebounds like he has a case of the whooping lung. He has been stellar throughout these playoffs, but great goaltending is what leads to Stanley Cups. A guy who has a 2.73 goals against average in the playoffs is not going to be steady enough to get the Flyers through a series with the punchy Canadiens.
The Habs were nothing short of infuriated with Lady Luck on Saturday. They never got a bounce to go their way, aside from Andre Markov’s goal. And they bombarded Biron with shot after shot after shot. Granted the Flyers did a nominal job of shutting down Alexei Kovalev for the most part, but they fell apart when the Habs cranked up the speed.
That’s why I love the Habs as a great underdog bet on the road. Montreal is 6-1 SU in their last 7 road trips to Philadelphia and are fuming through the ears to put Philly in their place. Carey Price is starting to worry the NHL betting investors for Montreal, but I’d put my money that the offense will give him a comfortable lead.
Montreal can’t keep on getting all the bad breaks, while Philadelphia gets all the good ones. Hockey does not work like that and the Hockey Gods will not allow this to continue. Bet on Montreal in the UNDER as they put Philadelphia’s backs to the wall by coming out of the gates hard and securing an early lead to put any doubts to rest. C’est le but.
