NCAA Invitational Basketball Betting Bradley at Tulsa Game 3
by Charles Jay
BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds: Tulsa -3.5, Total 142.5
It is the "rubber game," as they say. The Bradley Braves (21-16 SU, 20-14-1 ATS), who achieved a win and cover in Game 2 of this best-of-three College Basketball Invitational championship series, will go on the road to try and win the title against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (24-14 SU, 18-14-1 ATS) in a contest that gets underway at 8 PM ET on Friday at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa.
At BetUS Sportsbook, Tulsa is listed as a 3.5-point favorite, with a total of 142.5 points.
Here are some of the NCAA basketball betting trends as they relate to this matchup:
* BRAD has won four of its last five games SU
* BRAD has covered four of its last five road games
* BRAD has lost five of its last seven road games SU
* BRAD has played its last five road games OVER the total
* TUL has won four of its last five games SU
* TUL has covered six of its last seven home games
Bradley got its shooting eye back in Game 2 of this series, hitting 53% and making 11 three-pointers. The Braves also got a bit of a front court presence from David Collins, who had eight points and a couple of blocked shots to offer some resistance to Tulsa's seven-foot Jerome Jordan.
Floor leader Daniel Ruffin has had 21 assists and six turnovers in his last three games, and the people around the program feel that if he and Andrew Warren (who missed five conference games with an injury) had been together all season, Bradley would have gone to the NCAA tourney. As it is, there is a formidable guard trio with Jeremy Crouch, who had 20 points in Game 2 of this unique three-game series.
We still feel the way we did before Games One & Two, in that Tulsa will have the edge when it comes to getting the easy baskets, but with the Golden Hurricane in the midst of 40% shooting over its last four contests, it's not going to take much long-range marksmanship for Bradley to keep pace. Tulsa has covered six of its last seven home games, but the Braves have covered four of their last five away from home, and eight of their last nine as an underdog.
We'll look for a real tight game, and take the points with Bradley, the 3.5-point dog in the BetUS NCAA basketball betting odds.
