Analysis: I won’t even waste my beloved MLB bettors’ respective time. Just read the previous pitching matchup featuring A.J. Burnett and Adam Eaton and you’ll make this pick dead-on. Carmona against Harang is just totally unfair. Take the Indians to beat Harang badly while getting another spectacular performance from Fausto Carmona.

Kansas City Royals at Florida Marlins
Royals’ starter Brian Bannister is 4-4 in eight starts covering 50.1 innings with 29 strikeouts, 12 walks and five home runs allowed by a respectable ERA of 3.75.
Marlins’ starter Burke Badenhop is 1-2 in six starts and one relief appearance covering 31.2 innings with 23 strikeouts, 12 walks and four home runs allowed by a 5.97 ERA.
Analysis: Both teams in this matchup have overachieved all season long and appear to have extremely bright futures, but it is the Royals’ Brian Bannister that is going to lead his team to victory in this matchup while getting back to the form he displayed in 2007 and earlier this season.

Athletics’ starter Rich Harden is 1-0 in just three starts covering 14.2 innings with 20 strikeouts, eleven walks and one home run while posting a decent 3.68 ERA.
Braves’ starter Tim Hudson is 6-2 in nine starts covering 56.2 innings with 35 strikeouts, ten walks and one home run while allowing a respectable 2.54 ERA.
Analysis: Former Braves starter Tim Hudson faces his old team in this matchup and one of the best young pitchers in baseball when he squares off against A’s starter Rich Harden. I know the Braves have struggled as of late, but I like them to improve on the best home record in all of baseball by picking up a solid win in this contest.
