MLB Baseball Free Picks – Angels to Complete Sweep of Blue Jays
The Los Angeles Angles, (28-20, 25-23 RL) have won three consecutive sports betting games and four of their last five, including back-to-back wins over the Toronto Blue Jays, (23-25, 21-27 RL) and would appear to be hitting their stride as the 2008 MLB online betting regular season moves further into its second quarter.
The Angels eked out a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays and are looking for more of the same tonight when they send veteran right-hander Ervin Santana looking to bounce back from two consecutive poor outings after getting off to a fantastic 6-0 start.
Santana was saddled with his first loss of the season on Saturday, allowing four runs in six innings against the
Los Angeles Dodgers in the Angels’ 6-3 loss.
"If they had scored seven runs against me, I'd worry about it," Santana said. "But I'm perfectly fine. I'll just go and get it next time."
The Blue Jays will counter with veteran right-hander A.J. Burnett, who limited the Philadelphia Phillies to two runs in 6 1/3 innings while striking out eight batters in Toronto’s 6-3 win Saturday.
Angels’ outfielder Vladimir Guerrero hit two home runs on Wednesday to bring his season total to six.
"I saw the ball very well tonight," Guerrero said through a translator. "My swing felt great, comfortable. We needed the home runs tonight with so few hits. That's my job, to help the team, especially on a night like tonight."
"I don't think anybody around here forgets what he's capable of - and what he's going to do," first baseman Casey Kotchman told the Angels' official Web site.
