MLB Baseball Betting Series Previews – Free Picks
Houston Astros @ San Fransisco Giants
The Houston Astros are hot right now and just swept one California team. Now they move over to San Francisco to try to continue their sports betting success.
The Astros have won nine of their last 11 games and their batting lineup is finally clicking as planned.
At the top of the order, Michael Bourn and Kaz Matsui are providing a ton of speed. Bourn has stolen 17 bases and has yet to be caught.
Lance Berkman, Hunter Pence and Miguel Tejada have been coming to the plate with plenty of runners on base with plenty of opportunities to knock them in.
Now the Astros send their ace to the hill, Roy Oswalt, along Brandon Backe and Brian Moehler.
They’ll have to deal with Barry Zito, Matt Cain and Patrick Misch. Zito will be making his second start since he was pulled from the rotation to do some bullpen work.

New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays
The Yankees-Rays series are typically a matchup of the haves and have nots in the American League East only this time, the Rays are the superior squad.
Who knows how long it will last, but the Rays are currently 2.5 games up on the Yankees in the division.
The Rays have been winning their pitching, bats and defense and look like a complete young team…for now. It is early in the season and keep in mind that the Rays haven’t finished above fourth place in the history of their franchise.
They’ll face two of the Yankees best three starters in this four-game set as they battle Andy Pettitte and Chien-Ming Wang in the first two games.
The Rays have won nine straight home games sothey are hard to bet against at the suddenly intimidating Tropicana Field. In that span they’ve swept the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Angels.
Matt Garza starts the series off for the Rays and although his ERA is inflated, he’s only three earned runs in his last 12.2 innings pitched.

San Diego Padres @ Chicago Cubs
If the San Diego Padres plan to turn it around and compete for a playoff spot like they did last season, they better hurry it up. They are 14-24 and are already nine games back of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West.
They head to Chicago for a four-game series this week where it will be aces versus aces. The Cubs have Carlos Zambrano, Jon Lieber, Ted Lilly and Ryan Dempster schedule. The Padres will send Randy Wolf, Shawn Estes, Jake Peavy and Greg Maddux to the mound.
The light-hitting Padres have won two straight after a five-game losing streak and have scored nine runs in their last two games after scoring just 14 in the previous five.
They’ll have to hope that their pitching can hold the Cubs potent roster down. The Cubs lead the NL in runs scored and are second in team batting average, RBIs.
