MLB Baseball Betting Free Picks - Houston vs. Arizona
The Houston Astros will try to end their three game losing streak when they send recently called up pitcher Jack Cassel to the mound to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Houston Astros haven’t been all that friendly to MLB baseball betting gamblers so far this season. The ‘Stros are up and down every week. They won six in a row before losing three in a row going into Tuesday night’s game. Cassel, even though I can’t find a picture of the guy anywhere on the internet, is actually 1 and 0 on the season. Sure, he has an ERA of 5.71 and only pitched five innings in his lone start this season, but that’s better than being 0 and 1, right? The BetUS online wagers actually give him plenty of respect as you shall see below.
Before we take a look at the online betting odds, I have to admit that I was wrong about Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Edgar Gonzales. I believe I said that he was the worst pitcher in the D’Backs’ rotation. Okay, maybe I was right about that, but the worst in the D’Backs rotation is still better than a lot of top guys on a lot of other MLB teams. Edgar has a 4.66 ERA - - not Brandon Webb or Danny Haren territory - - but is 1 and 1 on the season. He does well when called upon and the D’Backs love to give him run support.

Edgar Gonzales – R - 1 ½ + 140 - 150 U 10 - 115
This is not an easy baseball game to handicap. It’s impossible to know which pitcher, Cassel or Gonzales, will step up on Tuesday night. Okay, maybe not impossible, but the BetUS MLB online odds aren’t really working with us here.
We can’t very well put up an extra sixty bucks and get the run and a half on a guy whose photo isn’t even on the internet. How good is he going to pitch on Tuesday night? We also can’t give up a run and a half to the Astros and get Gonzales at + 140. Well, maybe we can.
In fact we’re going to have to if we want to place an online wager on this game. The odds on the Astros to win this game outright is actually a much better bet then taking the D’Backs at – 150. So, if you like the ‘Stros, then go for it.
I prefer to bet Edgar Gonzales at + 140 – 1 ½ runs. To me that is the more sensible online wager to make. The D’Backs are just a better team. They’ll give Edgar the run support he needs because Cassel isn’t going to shut anybody down.
