MLB Baseball Betting - Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers
by D.S Williamson
The Milwaukee Brewers start newly acquired C.C. Sabathia in their second game of a four game online betting series versus the Colorado Rockies. The Brewers lost the first game of this sports wagering series 4 to 3 and even though they do not expect Sabathia to single-handedly carry Milwaukee into the post-season, they do expect him to play a big role in their quest to make the post-season after a twenty-six year drought. There’s no reason for Sabathia to disappoint baseball betting enthusiasts tonight as the Colorado Rockies just aren’t a very good team. Because they play in the woeful N.L. West Division, the Rockies are only 6.5 games behind the division leading Arizona Diamondbacks. Of course, they still remain 14 games below .500. That makes the Rockies a bad online baseball betting team for most online sportsbook bettors. The Rockies start pitcher Mark Redman tonight. Redman has an ERA of 7.05 and a record of 2 and 3.
C.C. Sabathia, of course, will be looking to make a statement versus Mark Redman in this game. Sabathia, last year’s A.L. Cy Young award winner, hasn’t been as dominating this season but going from the American League, where he continually faced excellent hitting teams, to the National League, where he will face some very bad hitting teams, should help him tremendously. For the season, Sabathia is 6 and 8 with a 3.83 ERA. The change to the National League could turn Sabathia’s season around. That would be music to the ears of MLB wagering fans.

Here are a few sports wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.
The Colorado Rockies are 6 and 1 in their last 7 games overall.
The Colorado Rockies are 5 and 1 in Mark Redman’s last 6 starts versus a team with a winning record.
The Milwaukee Brewers are 4 and 0 in their last 4 games versus a left-handed starter.
The Milwaukee Brewers are 5 and 1 in their last 6 games as a favorite at home.
The pressure is on Sabathia to deliver in this game. Giving up a run and a half on Sabathia at less then even money is a difficult proposition for me to back.
The reason is simple. If I’m going to make an online wager on a pitcher and give up runs, I want to be rewarded by making more then even money on my online bet. That’s not the case with Sabathia.
This is still major league baseball which means as online baseball betting fans we need to find a way to make money without taking a huge risk. The BetUS online wagering lines don’t really give us much to work with in this game.
There will be a lot of money on Sabathia to deliver. He probably will, but I’m willing to take the smaller risk in order to reap larger profits.
The only online baseball wager I see in this game that makes sense is on the Colorado Rockies to beat the Milwaukee Brewers in an upset at + 210.
Who knows? Maybe Mark Redman has a terrific outing in this game. In any case that’s where my online wagering dollars will be - - on the Colorado Rockies to upset C.C. Sabathia’s first start with his new team.
