I picked Casino Drive to win the Belmont Stakes. That’s true. If Casino Drive races, I will bet on him. I have to. I just have to believe that if his Japanese connections race Casino Drive, then he will be ready to run.

But I’m nervous, man. Word just came down, about an hour or so ago, that Casino Drive might have a “stone bruise” that is causing him to be off on his “left hind”. That’s a serious issue. First, the Japanese will not fool with this horse. In other words if Casino Drive is not ready to run, then they won’t force him to run…I think.

Second, an injured Casino Drive will be up against more then just Big Brown in this race. He will be up against some of the toughest conditions in the history of any horse going into the 2008 Belmont Stakes. This race is 1 ½ miles. Even though I have full faith and confidence in his connections, and full faith and confidence in the horse, I have to be objective here.

If I was so sure about Big Brown losing because of his quarter-crack, then I have to write that Casino Drive, even the slightest bruise, compromises his chances in the Belmont Stakes. Throwing away money on either one of these horses is foolish.

But that’s what I will do for the simple fact that - - well, I am a BetUS online racebook gambler who is about as stubborn as any mule anyone’s ever going to come across!

I chose Casino Drive to beat Big Brown. If the Japanese don’t scratch him from the race, then that’s what I’m going to do. I will bet him. I will probably watch my money float away on the backstretch the way that it would in a strip-club after half a bottle of cheap whiskey.

But that’s life, right?

Now, my advice to every other online sportsbook gambling fan out there is something different. I suggest that you seriously consider whether or not you want to make an online wager on Casino Drive. I also suggest that you seriously consider whether or not you want to make an online wager on Big Brown.

There are other horses in this race with the ability to win the Belmont Stakes - - Tale of Ekati, Ready’s Echo and Denis of Cork. Why not take a chance on one of those horses?

More importantly, there are a lot of other races on the Belmont Stakes card that will provide ample opportunity for online racebook fans to make some money.

Save your dollars for some of those races. Trust me, you will feel better after the Belmont Stakes when Guadalcanal beats Big Brown and the rest by around 20 lengths.

Okay, there’s probably no chance of that happening.
