Directions - We're located off Interstate 49 in Opelousas, Louisiana. Take I-49 northbound to the Creswell Lane exit (Exit 18). Turn right and proceed ½ mile (second light) to the entrance to Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino. Follow the entrance road past valet parking to the north parking lot. The racetrack is located on the east side of the property.
Quarter Horse Race Dates - Opening day for Quarter Horse Racing is Saturday, February 5, 2005. Following a brief 2 ½ week hiatus we will return to action on February 24 – March 27. Racing will be held Thursday – Sunday evenings.
Thoroughbred Race Dates - Opening day for Thoroughbred Horse Racing is Thursday, April 7, 2005. Racing will conclude on Labor Day, September 5, 2005. Racing will be held Thursday – Saturdays and also on Monday evenings.
Post Time - Post time for all performances is 6:45 p.m. Central.
Off-Track-Betting - Off-Track-Betting (OTB) is available 7 days per week, 364 days per year (excluding Christmas). We currently offer simulcasting year round at our off-track facilities as well. Come visit our OTB parlors in New Iberia and Port Allen (exit 51, Lobdell exit).

Parking - General parking is free, valet parking is available for $5.00.
Track Tidbits - Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino is the first “Racino” built in this country from the ground up. We feature a state-of-the-art facility with a new one mile oval. In 2006, a seven-eighths of a mile turf course will be ready for racing action. The entire property consists of nearly 750 acres. The track houses nearly 1,000 stalls on the backside. There is a pond in the infield, but no alligators (that we know of).
