MLB Wagering – Bullpen’s Factor When It Comes to Covering

With the 2008 MLB betting season moving right along in the BetUS Sportsbook, this MLB wagering article will take a look at the top five bullpen’s in Major League Baseball this season, which, by looking at the online betting statistics, bettors can easily see the correlation between spectacular bullpen production and the boost it gives teams to cover the online betting spread in their respective sports betting contests.

Three of the top five Money Teams in the majors this season are also ranked in the top five in bullpen production, showing the impact a team’s bullpen has on its ability to close out games and finish off ATS victories.

Here is a look at the top five bullpen’s in Major League Baseball in the early going of the 2008 season.

1. Philadelphia Phillies - 118.0 Innings Pitched, 36 Earned Runs, 2.75 ERA

The Phillies are ranked 13th in the majors in money teams with a solid 21-18 record and 16-23 RL (run line) record.

2. Oakland Athletics - 116.2 Innings Pitched, 36 Earned Runs, 2.78 ERA

The Oakland A’s, (23-16) have lit up the BetUS Sportsbook this season with the help of some stellar pitching out of the bullpen while compiling an impressive 23-16 RL record this season.

3. Florida Marlins - 130.1 Innings Pitched, 46 Earned Runs, 3.18 ERA

The Florida Marlins, (23-15 RL) are the best money team in all of Major League Baseball this season and their surprising bullpen has been a big part of why the Marlins are currently 23-15 and in first place in the NL East despite being predicted to finish no higher than fourth by most MLB pundits.

4. Tampa Bay Rays - 116.0 Innings Pitched, 41 Earned Runs, 3.18 ERA

The Tampa Bay Rays are the talk of the American League and rightfully so! The Rays have posted their best record to date in franchise history, (22-16) while getting some solid production from their bullpen in closing out games this season. Tampa Bay has posted an excellent 24-14 run line, (RL) record this season and are the fourth-best money team in all of baseball this season.

5. Los Angeles Dodgers - 131.1 Innings Pitched, 47 Earned Runs, 3.22 ERA

The Dodgers are ranked just 20th in the majors in all money teams this season despite fielding one of the best bullpens in the majors this season, though the Dodgers could certainly make a move up the money list if their bullpen keeps producing the way they have in the early going this season.
