Soccer Rules

Wagers are accepted only on matches where BetUS Sports Group offers prices. Combination (parlay/multiple) winning wagers will be settled at accumulative odds based on the individual prices as advertised. If a wager is accepted which includes a match for which a price has not been quoted, that match will be treated as a Non-Runner, and the wager will be settled on the remaining selections.

All prices are subject to fluctuation at all times and without notice. Settlement will be made at the price available at the time the wager was placed and confirmed.

90 Minutes Play

All match odds are based on the result at the end of a scheduled '90 minutes' play, unless otherwise stated. Wagers are settled on the score standing at the end of the scheduled '90 minutes' including any added injury or stoppage time. This scheduled period does not include extra time, time allocated for a penalty shoot out or golden goal. Extra time prices may be introduced at the end of the scheduled period. All odds are subject to fluctuation and amendment and are based on the result at full-time.

The terms 'full-time', '90 minutes play' and 'normal time' are all used to denote the period of play which includes time added by match officials for stoppages, but not scheduled extra time, penalty shoot-outs etc. Settlement will be at the price prevailing at the time the wager was placed and confirmed.

Match Time/Date/Venue change

Dates and kick-off times of matches shown on our website are for guidance purposes only. Wagers will be accepted up until the advertised kick-off time. If a wager is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after it's actual kick-off time, the match will be treated as a non-runner, but the remainder of any accumulative wager will stand.

An un-played or postponed match will be treated as a 'non-runner' for grading purposes unless it is played within the 24 hours.

If the venue of a match is other than is indicated on our website the wager will stand provided the match has not been switched to the opponent's ground, in which case the match will be declared void.

Any match which is abandoned before completion of the match (ie. 90 mins.) will be void. All other markets will be void unless their result is already decided. For example, First Player to Score or Time of the First Goal wagers will stand provided a goal has been scored at the time of abandonment. Wagers on Last Goalscorer will be void in the event of abandonment.

Naming Conventions

Selections for match betting are indicated by the following convention:

The team shown on the top line (home team)
the team shown on the second line (away team)
draw/tie shown on the bottom line

In the event of a match being played on a neutral ground the team shown on top will be regarded as the home side, and the team shown on the second row as the away side. available.

3 Way Moneyline:

These are the most common lines used by sportsbooks for soccer. The bettor has three choices: Team A, Team B, or a Tie. This type of wagering makes sense, since in all soccer matches it is possible for a match to end in a tie after 90 minutes. If you wager on Team A or Team B in this market and the outcome of the match at the end of 90 minutes is a Tie, the wager is a loss. If you wager on the tie, and one of the teams wins at the end of 90 minutes, the wager is a loss.

Soccer Handicaps/Spreads - Settlement Rules

For the purpose of deciding results on the Handicap/Spread, a number of goals (or half-goals) is added to, or subtracted from, the total goals scored by the away team. Grading on the Handicap Markets will be at the odds displayed, using the actual score in the match adjusted for the handicap.

0 ball Handicap

If either team wins by any margin, then wagers on the winning team will be graded as winning wagers. In the event of a draw all wagers are void and wagered amounts on both teams are refunded (Push).

½ ball Handicap

Team giving a ½ ball start (-0.5)::

Win by any score - All wagers on this selection are winners.

Team receiving a ½ ball start (+0.5)::

Win by any score - All wagers on this selection are winners.
Draw - All wagers on this selection are winners.
Lose by any score - All wagers on this selection are losers

1 Ball Handicap line

Team giving a full ball start (-1)::

Win by 2 or more - All wagers on this selection are winners
Win by exactly 1 - All wagers on this selection are void and refunded to the customer.(Push)
Draw or lose - All wagers on this selection are losers.

Team receiving a full ball start (+1)::

Win by any score or draw - All wagers on this selection are winners.
Lose by exactly 1 - All wagers on this selection are void and refunded to the customer (Push).
Lose by 2 or more - All wagers on this selection are losers.

Similar logic is applied to 2 Ball, 3 Ball Handicaps as apply to the 1 Ball Handicap

Wagers on players not taking part in the match will be void as will wagers on 'first player to score' where the selection comes on after the first goal is scored. All players that take part in a match will be considered 'runners' for last/anytime player to score purposes. If the PA does not produce statistics giving the names of the goalscorers for matches outside the UK, then settlement will be based on information obtained from the national newspapers of the relevant country. Subsequent enquiries by official bodies will not be considered for settlement purposes. Please note that 'own goals do not count' in the settlement of wagers.

Wagers will stand on any team which does not complete all of its fixtures. Any subsequent promotions/demotions after the last day of the season will not count for grading purposes.

Top Goalscorer Futures

Only goals scored within the quoted division are counted for this market, irrespective of the team (within that division) for which they are scored. The team quoted alongside the player is for reference only. Own goals do not count. Dead Heat Rules apply.

2nd Half Betting

Wagers predicting the result at the end of normal time (90 mins) will be available on selected matches during the half-time break. In the event of a match being abandoned prior to the end of the second half, match wagers will be void. Other second half wagers may sometimes be available, eg first second half scorer, or number of second half goals. In the event of a match being abandoned before 90 minutes have been played, these wagers will be void unless settlement of wagers is already determined.

Corners

In the event of a match being abandoned before 90 minutes have been played, all wagers will be void, unless settlement of wagers is already determined. For example should a customer wagered, 12 or more corners, in a match and that match is abandoned when 13 corners have already been taken then that wager is a winner with all other wagers on corners losers. Wagers on corners markets, refers to corners taken and not corners awarded.
