Check Out Some Features of BetUS in the News
It was another banner night for Houston area charities, as BetUS.com was on hand once again to lend their support for the Robert Horry Foundation’s Heroes and Legends Gala.
In addition to silent and live auctions benefiting the foundation, the night was also about saluting two very special young men- both with special needs. Christopher Scott is a local teacher’s aide and is an inspiration to all that are privileged to meet him. He was honored for his tireless work and has also been featured in a motion picture starring Vanessa Williams.
The other honoree is simple known as J-Mac. Jason McElwain was the famed young autistic player who amassed an astonishing 20 points in the final four minutes of a New York State high school basketball game. The against-all-odds achievement will be the subject of a feature film in 2007. He and his coach Jim Johnson were present to accept their accolades.
The crowd was in a giving mood from start to finish, as comedian Michael Colyar provided a powerfully entertaining performance to set up the would-be auction participants’ spending spree.
Lucky BetUS.com customers partied at the gala and enjoyed the company of several sports and entertainment personalities.
The Heroes and Legends Gala was considered a rousing success and BetUS.com is proud to contribute to such a worthy cause.
