NFL Betting News
If you bet on NFL odds, you know the song entitled "Heavy Action", composed by Johnny Pearson. Ok, you probably don't know the song by title, but it's a lock, you know it as trademark and cue music of Monday Night Football heard as the opening ''teaser'' prior to each game.
Now the song NFL betting fans love to hear is stuck in your head, possibly being sung aloud while others stare, let's have a look at some key matchups, on this year's MNF schedule that kicks off with a doubleheader.
First, Minnesota visits Green Bay at 7pm EST, as Aaron Rodgers makes his first start at quarterback to begin the post-Brett Favre era on primetime in front of millions. Then, Denver visits Oakland at 10:15pm EST. On Sept. 22, the Jets travel west as Favre makes his first ever MNF appearance not sporting a Packers uniform to face San Diego.
This year's MNF schedule features eleven playoff teams from last season, including the defending Super Bowl champion Giants (Oct. 13 at Cleveland) and AFC champion Patriots (Oct. 20 vs. Denver).
On the eve of the U.S. presidential election (Nov. 3), MNF makes its appearance in the nation's capital as Big Ben and Pittsburgh meets Clinton Portis and the Redskins. It's the Steelers' first regular-season game in Washington since 1988.
December kicks off with Houston playing its first MNF game in franchise history against Jacksonville. The 2008-09 MNF finale features a classic NFC North battle between the Packers and Bears on Dec. 22, which will be the first MNF game played at Soldier Field since 2003.
Since the first MNF contest played on September 21, 1970, NFL wagering fans has anticipated it as a game to recover from a Sunday spanking, or one to further build bankrolls. Whatever your case, BetUS NFL odds has you covered with all the traditional lines, as well as, one of the largest collections of Monday Night Football props around.
